Nous trouvons enfin un cas récent décrit par Virchow (5), dans lequel une dilatation des vaisseaux lymphatiques de la langue est envisagée comme cause de macroglossie. On voit, d'après ces faits, que les varices lymphatiques ne doivent pas être si rares qu'on pourrait le penser au premier abord, mais que leur véritable nature a été souvent méconnue. Nous ne pouvons regarder comme appartenant à cette même catégorie le fait déjà signalé par Mascagni et Sœmmerring, de la dilatation générale des vaisseaux lymphatiques autour des tumeurs cancéreuses. Je les ai observés dans cet état plusieurs fois au mésentère, a la surface du foie, et surtout à celle des poumons, et je les ai trouvés tantôt remplis d'éléments cancéreux, tantôt simplement dilatés par la stagnation, et par un obstacle dans la circulation de la lymphe ou du cbyle. : Les hydatides On peut admettre trois formes de dilatation des vaisseaux lymphatiques.
