Trousseau etBelloc (2). M. Andrul (3) rapporte un cas dans lequel une perforation de ce genre avait pénétré jusque sous la peau, et avait produit ainsi une fistule laryngée. Le tissu cellulaire qui entoure cette partie malade est extraordinairement induré, comme lardacé, les muscles et les os sont ramollis, la muqueuse tout autour est d'un gris ardoisé. Dans des cas rares on observe aussi des plaques ossiformes dans le périchondre. On comprend aisément que ces altérations du cartilage doivent provoquer des déformations, un rétrécissement ou un affaissement du larynx, des inflammations graves, quelquefois croupales, de la muqueuse, une dyspnée et une dysphagie habituelles, et la mort survient quelquefois promptement, par suite de l'œdème de la glotte.
