L'abondance du dépôt tuberculeux dans les intestins est extrêmement variable; on y trouve tous les degrés intermédiaires entre quelques tubercules rares et disséminés; une fois même nous n'en avons trouvé qu'un seul dans tout le trajet des intestins, et une longue série d'alcères tuberculeux, depuis le commencement de l'ilé0n jusqu'au voisinage du rectum. Quant à la substance de ces tubercules sous-muqueux, elle subit le ramollissement, la désagrégation, le boursoufilement des corpuscules et la diilluence finale que nous lui connaissons ailleurs. L'ulcération faisant des progrès, les bords de l'ulcè re deviennent frangés et comme d1|aceres, et gaz , hydrogène offrent une teinte rouge, brune et quelquefois noirâtre, coloration qui tient en partie au sulfureux, et en partie aux dépôts mélaniques.
