Ft Les suçoirs sont du double plus grands, quelquefois pigmentés d'un brun noirâtre; le rostellum manque, Le réseau vasculaire du côté de la tête est beaucoup moins compliqué que chez le Tamia solium. cysticcr 3° Tæm'a nana, Sieb. -- Les caractères de cette espèce sont les suivants: Le corps est filiforme, vessie et déprimé, la tête obtusc en avant; elle s'amincit graduellement vers le cou, porte des ventouses presque globuleuses et une trompe piriforme, armée d'une couronne de crochets bifides. Les articles sont plus larges que longs; tous les cirres se trouvent sur le même bord. Les œufs sont globuleux, entourés d'une membrane lisse et simple. La longueur de ce tænia est de là a 15 millimètres; il n'a été trouvé qu'en Égypte par M. Bilharz, qui l'a rencontré deux fois en grand nombre dans l'intestin grêle de l'homme. .t° Bot/zrioceÿfizole de l'homme (BOt/zriocephalus lotus). - Caractères du genre : Ver à corps mon, déprimé, fort allongé, composé d'un très grand nombre d'articles. Rendement céphalique oblong on tronqué aux deux extrémités, et pourvu de deux fossettes latérales étroites, allongées, ou de quatre oreillettes, ou enfin de quatre fossettes armées de crochets. Orifices des ovaires situés au milieu de chaque article. Les bothriocéphales diffèrent des tæuias par l'absence des quatre ventouses orbiculaires musculeuses; mais d'ailleurs il est souvent difficile de les distinguer quand on n'a pas la tète.
