The house remains one of the outstanding nineteenth-century rock homes in Spring City. It is historically • interesting'to note that Peterson chose an English Style house for his model though the hall and parlor plan was also current in Scandinavia, the very symmetrical exterior and facade treatment is purely Anglo-American. Marvin "Bish" Peterson was a son of Marinus and lived in the house most of the twentieth century until his death in 1978. "Bish" stands for "Bishop," and is a tonguein-cheek reference to Peterson f s strickly non-Mormon attitudes and habits. |
