H., son of William H. and was born in Monmouth county, Ney Jersey, July 10, 1840. He was raised on a farm. The famjoined the Mormon church and in '50 came to Utah, crossing the plains in an ox-train under Capt. Benjamin Clapp, and located in Springville. In '61 he came to Fountain Green, being employed by Bishop Johnson. He began studying medicine in '84 and has built up quite a practice, being vein- successful in diphtheria, croup and throat troubles. Also owns a thirty-acre farm. He took part in the Black Hawk war as a minuteman. Was married in Springville to Eliza, daughter of Chester and Catherine Snyder, born in Canada.
