This site is not well main tained and the finely cultivated grass of the new cemetery located on the Chester Road about one-half mile east of US 89, is here replaced by weeds and dirt. There seems to be little attempt on the city's part to deal with the up-keep of this particular site. The graveyard contains the head-stones of several men killed in the Indian Wars and many of the stone are hand carved and contain interesting local head-stone motifs and designs. No information is available as to when the cemetery site was moved nor why, |
