Show HISTORY OF SANPETE COUNTY. Mar 55 Jens Larsen was killed by Indians, four 25. miles north of Fairview. May 26. John Given, wife and four children were by Indians in Thistle Valley. May 20. David H. Jones was killed by Indians, killed near Fairview. June 24. Isaac Morley died at Fairview. July 7-19. Brighani Young visited Sanpete to investigate the Indian troubles. July 15. Gen. W. S. Snow was put in command of the Sanpete military district and ordered against the Indians. July 18. Gen. W. S. Snow and command engaged Twelve Indians were killed and one white man wounded. July 26.
