One large log crib with gable door for entrance into the lower stabling area and upper loft for hay storage. Logs are left round, chinked on the lower tiers of logs where stable is located but left open above. Original deed to John Blain, 1870. The barn pre-dates the building of the house which currently stands at the lot, a 1940's builders' design. The barn probably dates to the later nineteenth century and was built by the Blain family who occupied much of block 25 just to the west. |
