New materials? Altered setting? Moved? etc. Is the property adequately described? Too general? Too specific? Have contrib. and non-contrib. features been clearly identified? It would be nice to call out double loop sheep fencing as a specific type of wire fencing since there are still examples in place. It is clearly visible in Photo 55 and possibly Photo 29. OK Concerns SIGNIFICANCE and CONTEXT: OK Concerns FACTS AND SOURCES: OK Concerns TECHNICAL: OK Concerns SUPPORTING MATERIALS: Has the appropriate Criterion been used? Has it been justified? Is the context sufficient in breadth and depth to support the claims of significance? Is the narrative history complete and of the appropriate detail? Are the appropriate and best sources used? Are key dates and facts accurate and supported with references? Typos, grammar, organization and flow of the narrative, etc. Adequate photos, maps, drawings, etc.? OTHER ISSUES AND COMMENTS: The loss of historic barns and outbuildings significantly alters the character of this rural historic landscape and the distinctive look of the Plat of Zion Mormon Village. It’s unfortunate that the owners can’t afford to keep roofs on them and find new uses for them. |
