They have four children: Franklin, Nellie, Lorette and Adelia, D., was born butcher, son of in George. 5QU1BE, JOHN P., deceased, son of Aaron and Elizawas born in Bainbridge, Geauga county, NeAv York, March 30, 1821. He grew up in New York and went to Illinois, where he joined the Mormon Church in 1847. In 1852 he came to Utah with Lorenzo Snow, who married one of his sisters. He then came direct to Manti and located there. He taught school in winter and farmed in summer for several years. Took part in beth, Hawk war, being a Lieutenant. Was an active worker in church and Sunday school. During the last years of his life he was in ill-health. He died April Was married in Manti, December 31, 1853, to 25, 1872. Adelia, daughter of Freeborn and Annie Knight De Mill, born in Jackson county, Mo., September 29, 1832. Her parents came here in 1850, having joined the Mormon Church in 1830, among the first, members. They were highly respected citizens and both died here. Her children are: John P., Aaron D., Adelia L., Eliza R. and Oliver E., living; Orpha, Anna M. and Harriet A., dethe Black ceased. |
