The pattern combines elements of older folk house internal space with more progressive extenal trappings, The 1820 patent went to Sidney H. Allfed, sold to George Downaid in 1878 for one-hundred dollars; 1882 to Avel Tulgreen one-hundred dollars; John Frank Allred 1884 for eighty dollars; 1884 to Ellen Tulgreen for one-hundred dollars. The Tulgreens held the lot for about a thirty year period and probably were the builders of the house. Ellen sells the portion of the lot where the house is to Avel Teulgreen in 1893 for two-hundred dollars. Transferred back to Ellen Tulgreen 'in 1900 for one-hundred dollars. George Floyd Brough buys in 1920 for five-hundred dollars, Nothing can be learned of the Tulgreens in the biographical indexes. |
