They have had nine children: James C, Johannah, Andrew, Main-, to Utah. engaged in Maria, John Y., Niels and Joseph, living; and Saren, deceased. John Y. is bishop of Castle Dale, being ordained April 17, 18U8, by Francis M. Lyman. Niels 0. lias fortythree grandchildren. In the fall of '81 he came to Castle Dale and engaged in farming. Now has a good farm of 100 acres. Was elected County Treasurer in '92 and re-elected twice, being a competent, capable and trustworthy man.
