The house is one-and-a-half- stories high and has a three-opening front, window-door•<window. Stoveflue chimneys are located on the gables. The window and door heads are the slightly arche' pedimented style pervasive in Spring City. The roof has a steep pitch. Alterations include a new shed on the south side and asbestoes roofing. The fencing surrounding the sides of the house facing the streets is of the plain picket varie with gate posts of the plaster type. A more elaborate picket fence is found on the west rear of the house. John Andersen Forsburg owned the lot originally and sells the lot to Carl Hansen in 1890. According to most residents, Carl Hansen built this brick house shortly after 1890. Carl Hansen was born in Norway in 1854. He served as justice of the peace in Spring City for a number of years. (Hansen Family History). |
