Judging from the older outbuildings which surround the house, this cement block building obviously replaced an older home. Andrew Rasmussen had an adobe house on this lot and operated a blacksmith ship here. Several later occupants, then in about 1940 the Willard Sorensens purchased the lot and razed the old adobe house to make way for the cement block structure currently standing. The outbuildings which surround the new house all date from Rasmussen's tenure on the lot. |
