Als zie zum herein kamen, brach Herr Kipp auf und wir folgten ihm, um die Ein- nicht abzuwarten. Von den genannten Weibern waren einige dick und fett, aar andere sehr jung, die eine beinahe ein Kind. as erwähnte Fest wird auf eben beschriebene Art 40 Nächte hindurch fort- z* Während des Kaufs der Ischohä-Kakoschochatä hatte man in einer andern ^«gleich das Bison-Medecine-Fest gefeiert, welches vier Nächte dauerte. kehrten in die Hütte des Medeciue-Vogels zurück, rauchten daselbst unsere *T ri re°' UnC* *e&ten uns in den Kleic*eni zum Schlafe auf ausgebreitete Bisonfelle r> Während es ausserhalb fror und in der Hütte ebenfalls sehr kalt war. Die r hatten während der Nacht Wachen ausgestellt, um nicht von ihren Feinden erfaUen zu werden. I m ^' -^eßember früh verliessen wir das Dorf und unsere Hütte, folgten aber icüt den Hügeln, sondern einem durch das Gebüsche sich windenden Pfade, i zum Theil über zugefrorene und mit Rohr bewachsene Sumpfstellen führte. zt Gereifte Wald ist sehr ausgehauen und enthält wenig starkes Holz mehr. |
