I can see no sufficient reason for distinguishing Precis from Junonia; the length of the palpi is a slightly variable character and, taken collectively, the difference in length between those of Precis as compared with Junonia appears to m e extremely doubtful: as to the different form of wing, if strictly adhered to, that character would necessitate still further subdivision of the genus. |
