In the collection of Worms in the British Museum (Natural History), which, through the kindness of Dr. Giinther and Prof. Jeffrey Bell, I was enabled to examine in 1891 while attending the International Hygienic Congress, m y attention was attracted to a bottle containing a worm which was labelled " Ophistomum macro-natum, 11." but which, some days previous to m y visit,_my friend Prof. Blanchard, after a cursory examination, had decided to be a Distomum.
