Show 44 Each year we sponsor a girl to go to Girls State. She was a guest at our July meeting, which was hostessed by the Finance Committee. This was a yard party to raise funds for the treasury. In August the Membership Committee were hostesses at a picnic in Uberty Pork, at which time reports from the girls who attended National Convention were given. We have had programs on Community Action, Continuing Education for Women, Vietnam and other World Affairs. We supported the N\arch of Dimes Campaign and secured a trailer to be used as a ticket office. Each member donated her time to work at the trailer tickets. This was an selling interesting and rewarding project; We contribute an evening's entertainment and refreshments at the Veterans Hospita I for the patients. One of our members, Miss Ada Burt, was chosen as one of seven women to the Salt Llke Counci I IIHa II of Fame II. This was a great honor for Ada. As observance of Business Women's Week, we presented our Bosses Breakfast. civic leaders were guests. This was a highlight affair of our club year. Many We sent spruce and pine seeds to Zambia for the Internationa I Gorden. We sponsored education program with fi lms and discussion by a noted physician. a cancer We contributed to the Nationa I Foundation with pennies 8quiva lent to our ages. Our club celebrated its 27th birthday at a party, complete with cake, at the April illeeting. Jean Fox, State President; Kate Davis, Centrol District Director; Edna Anderson, Centro I District Secretary-Treasurer; and all our post club presidents and charter members were spec ia I guests. We are pleased to have had several new members [oln us this year. May meeting will be a business meetieg with election of officers for the new year. We feel we have an outstanding club, ready to uphold the standards and cbjectlves of BPW and to cooperate in every way possible to further the Federation's growth.
