I called upon every National and State Officer, Chairman and Shareman, and every member to join with me wholeheartedly as a team, in advancing the worthy ideals of our organization. This partnership has been the key to our Full partnership and cooperation will enable us to achieve success and progress this year. even greater success. One of the most important items that we must consider in our Federation Programming is CONTINUITY Continuing programs which are worthwhi Ie and which will add to the prestige and public image of our Federation. Out Partnership with Young Careerists Program was introduced by Virginia Allan at the Detroit Convention. It was a forerunner to this year's Partnership with Youth Program. I soid last year that our organization's very existence and obi lity to further its work depends on the regular infusion of new blood, new ideas, and new vitality. We need the fresh, creative ideas of young women in our clubs. In the next ten to fifteen years, these young women wi II be in positions of leadership. They wi II bring to our Federation other to observe you, their Senior Partners future leaders young women and our BPW leaders, in action. It is our hope that they wi II serve as liaison between BPW and our Youth in worthwhile projects such as youth conferences, jobs-for-youth, assistance in guidance and counseling, remedial reading classes, [ob interviews, and the dozens of other ways that we can help equip youth for the bright future that is the birthright in this -- -- -- great United States of America. Each and everyone of us has basked in the reflected glory and success of tbe USA Program. 'Mlen we bui ld the prestige of our Federation, we olso but Id Youthpower our membership. Good newsworthy programming and increased membership go hand-in-hand. To be newsworthy a program must be timely it must be of a political, social, or economic nature. Youth is a topic of great interest to our entire nation. Our Youth are considered our prime noturc I resooree Perhaps a few statistics wi II indicate the reason. -- ••• , Today, over 40% of our population is under the age of 20. When an organization is investing in youth, they ore investing USA in their own community their state, and their notion. Thirty States held Youthpower are this Conferences this year!
