In October our sebject was III-ow legislation is /v\ade n. Our guest speaker was Beaver County Representative Roya I Harward of Loa. Our November meeting was on "Public Relations". Guest speaker was George Rich, of Beaver's boosters. He told us about the new Cal-Ute factory to be built in the near future. Th is will mean a lot to our community. one In January our subject was "Personel Development". It was an outstanding program. Topics given by the ladies were: Personal Development through Education, Church, Welfare, Hospital, Nursing, Communication, as a Wife and Mother, and Service to Country and Community. In February our subject was IIWorld Affairs". Our speaker was Donald Tuft. It was very interesting and gave us a better understanding of the war in Vietnam and why we are there. Our March meeting was on "Human Rights". Robert McClung was our speaker. The subject for April was "Civil Affairs". Melborne Heslington was the guest speaker. We will hold the annual Senior Tea in May. This is always a lovely affair and somethlnq the Seniors remember as a highlight in their school activities. There will be an estimated 250 guests, including the Seniors, their mothers, and club members. The theme for the tea is "Once Upon A Time It. We feel our year has been successful since we have accomplished much. I would a Iso like to add that we donated a nice portable television to the Beaver Valley Hospital and also bought the paint to redecorate the Community Center •. We are looking forward to our Convention in June and hope it wi II be successful and that everyone who attends wi II have any en ioyable time. Officers insta lied were Kay Stark, Presldenn Kathryn Putnam, First Vice President; Mary Hansing, Second Vice President; Lv Jean Blackburn, Recorchng Secretary; Venna Cain, €orresponding Secretary; and Sara Borseth, Treasurer.
