Music was furnished by the Madriga f Chorus of Provo High School under the direction of Mr. Barker. February 8 Geneva - McQuiveyand Committee - a Iv"oble Kirk and Committee Open Night. Barbara Bryner, Provo Career Girl and also South Central District Career Girl, gave her speech on Pathology. She also spoke on the importance of communication. Ray Wamer, Provo Schoo I District Curriculum Director, told of his experiences on his tour of India and showed slides. It was a very worthwhile meeting. March 14 - - Nominations. We laughed untilteors ran down our faces. ay Civic Participation. The Provo BPW Civic Jessie Ashby and Committee orticipation Committee submits the following report. Civic Participation for the year 1967-68 has included the following projectse 1 9 - - An Art Contest involving 65 participants from a special school with first, second and th ird place winners and honorable mention awards given. Community swim in cooperation with the Brigham Young University and the American Red Cross. This project included swimming instruction for 30 participants with Red Cross tests given at the end of the course and Red Cross certificates issued. Mrs. Santa Claus told Christmas stories in conjunction with a ventriloquist show with Kiera lewis and her puppet, Woody. They visited Chi ld Haven, Eldred Hospital, Provo School District Office, four schools, a special school in American Fork, private homes, and the library once a week.
