Show UTAH FEDERATION OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S CLUBS, iNC. January 2, 1967 Dear State Board Member: Nominations are now being accepted for the 1967 TOP HAT AWARDS. As you know, this nationa I awards program was established by our Federation in 1963 to honor individua Is I both men and women, as well as corporations and organizations who have made a contribution significant toward advancing the status of employed women. Julr Again this year, these awards will be presented at a gala TOP HAT AWARD night on 24, 1967, during our National Convention in New York City. A maximum of ten awards wi I be presented. It should be emphasized that these awards GTe NOT designed to honor Women of Achievement. Rather, they are a means of reaching out beyond ourselves to recognize the many other leaders in business, industry, the professions and government whose actions indicate they share with BPW a dedication to raising standards and increasing opportunities for business and professlonc] women. It is, therefore, important for us to look outside our own leadership for nominees for these awards. Our idea I candidate is a top business, government, or professiona I executive who views pKressive practices in employment and promotion of women as a key to his company's or organiza tion's success. Won't you look about you for the people in your community who have national stature and who are doing things for women ') 'TIUYe follows a list of criteria for selecting nominees and a list of fields from which representation is desired. To qualify, nominees need meet only one of the criteria, but it is preferable if they meet more than one. and be fully documented with Each nomination must be submitted on a separate form newspaper clippings, articles, testimonials and/or other information which shows how the criteria were met. If you know an individual whom you wish to nominate for a Top Hat Award, please let know immediately, and I will send you one of the Nomination Forms supplied by National. In order to submit the nominations to National by their deadline, I must have all the forms and necessary information by February 10, 1967. me The continued success of this notional program requires the cooperation of each and every member in seeking out the most qua lified candidates for these awards.
