Show 40 Our club members have had unlimited opportunity for personal development this year with the installation of "Uintoh Basin Center for Continuing Education" in our area. This breneh of Utah State University offers all kinds of college credit courses in our community. De lbert C. Purnell, loce l coordinator for the Center, was our guest speaker at the September nleeting where he explained the un limited opportunities that are avai lable to us through the Center. I\t'\any of our club members are improving their professiona I competence by taking classes through the Center. given In February our members were shown the an techniques of Artex painting and were each opportunity to explore their talents in this area. Our Personal Development Committee , under chairmanship of JoAnn Goodhue, also directed our "Young Career Woman It program th is month, featuring four ta lented young career women, ;\;\axine Natchees with Socia I Services at Ft. Duchesne; Linda Jensen with the Head Start Program; Ann Stegen, a teacher at Whiterocks school; and Elaine C. Bowen, a Beauty Shop owner and operator. linda Jensen, who was chosen to represent Rooseve It at the District Conference, was a Iso named District winner. One of the highlights of our club activities each year is the Senior Tea held in May, lust prior to graduation. We honor a II girls and their mothers. Th is is an event a II senior girls and club members look forward to. Mrs. Parley Rawlings is serving as chairman of this event which is held at her spacious and beautifully appointed home. Our December meeting was a very successful Chrlstrocs party, with 34 in attendance. Seven new members were initiated at this meeting. New members ioining our club this year are: laRue Lamb, Tense f\.I\cGuffin, Thelma McClure, Carolyn Cox, Florence Jex, Barbara Emmons, June Lyman, Regina Walker. Rooseve It qua lified as a Criteria Club this year by: 1 • 2. Perfecting the club as an organization with officer/chairman training classes. Deve lop the potentia I of members through participation in Continuing Education Center classes. 3. Extended fellowship with a Bosses' Breakfast. 4. Provided needed community services with a college loan fund. 5. Young Career Woroon program. 6. Community Christmas Lighting,. Community Clean-up Campaign 7.
