Show 17 Each club in the district is sponsoring a girl for Young Career Woman. District candidate to be chosen by the Personal Development Chairman from each club, with the District Director serving as chairman of the committee, at a meeting on Apri I 18. Plans for Spring Conference were fina lized at a meeting of the District Counci I We anticipate a large attendance at the Conference which will be held in the Garden Room of the Hotel Temple Square on April 23. A delicious dinner, congenial If company, including our State Officers, and an outstanding musical program, The Life of Dame Myra Hess" by Pauline Beard Hills, will be on the agenda to make this a memorable evening for those attending. on Apri I 4. The presidents and members of the Bountiful, Coalville, Ensign, Salt Lake, Sa It Lake League, and the Wasatch Clubs have been wonderful people to work with, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their fine support and the help they have so willingly given to the District. Leona K. James NORTHERN DISTRICT The Fall Conference was held in Ogden, Utah. The State Officers offered a program geared to participation and membership. Their program inspired us so much that we organized a new club in the Ogden area. The new club is called the Bonneville Club of Ogden, Utah. It has 11 charter members and hopes to have more by State Convention. The group is we II represented from many different businesses such as beauticians, florists, teachers, Hill Air Force managers, and employment advisors. The Northern District has had a very prosperous year in their activities. We started off the Youth power programs. Ours was held in Logan, Utah. There were 80 youths who participated in this affair. The speakers were chosen from Logan, Brigham, and Ogden so that a II club areas were we II represented. The Spring Conference was held at the Bluebird in Logan, Utah. She is a teacher, ta lented in many areas, daughter of a Brigham City BPW member, teaches in Ogden, I ives in Brigham City, and graduated from USU in Logan. She represents the District we II .
