Show 'II! , 11 EASTERN DISTRICT laVon Wall ,f i Following is the report of activities carried out by the Eastern District I Utah Business and Professional Women's Clubs, the Vernal and Roosevelt LeVon including Clubs, Director; and Kay Gorfredsen; Treasurer. Wall, District Director; Erma Steward, Vice September 13, 1967: Held a District Counci I Meeting at Roosevelt at the home of Vice Director Erma Stewart. Those present: laVon Wall, Erma Stewart, and Kay Gotfredsen. Plans were made for Fall District Conference to be held in 1967. The Roosevelt,October 29, bylaws concerning District Directors and their responsibilities were dlscussed , October 29, 1967: Fall District Conference was held at the Frontier Grill in Roosevelt. The Roosevelt Club acted as hostess c lob Meeting was conducted by laVon Wall. State Officers attempted to attend but were delayed by a snow storm and were unable to attend. Josephine Yergensen, State Second Vice President, gave the program Musical numbers were furnished by loco I ta lent. : s March 7, 1968: official capacity. District Director laVon Wa II attended the Verno I meeting in March 11, 1968: District Officers laVon Wall and Kay Gotfredsen attended the Roosevelt Club meeting in an official capacity. March 19, 1968: Held a District Counci I Meeting in Rooseve It in preparation for District Conference. Those attending were: Mary Boender, President, Roosevelt Club; Spring Marion Behunin, representing the President, Verna I Club; Erma Stewart, Vice Director; laVon Wall, District Director; and Kay Gotfredsen, Treasurer. Plans were made for Spring Conference. April 27, 1968: Spring Conference was held in Vernal at the Hotel Vemal. l,gVon State Officers Jean Fox, President; De lone Petersen" First Vice President; Josephine Yergensen, Second Vice President; and Helen Dahle, Recording Secretary, were present as well as Committee Chairmen Frances Lenox and Fay Jensen. We 1'1 conducted. Miss Linda Jensen was chosen as Career Girl candidate from the Eastern District to attend State Convention and compete with other contestants from over the State. Reports were given by the respective club presidents on activities during the past year. The Vernal Club was awarded a citation for having increased its membershp by the highest percent .. Elections were held for a District Director to serve for the 1968-69 season. Erma Stewart was elected with Pauline Adams as Vice Di rector. Ruth A lien, Rooseve It, was chosen to act as treasurer. NORTH CENTRAL DISTRICT . Groce D. Dobbins I The Fall District Conference was held on Saturday, October 14, [olntly with the Central District with over one hundred members and guests attending. We received our aims and instructions from our state officers. Board meetings were he lei to discuss a project to replace the "Youth Conference ".
