Show 29 "Gretto Reese LOGAN At the c lose of my term as president of the logan Business and Professiona I Women's Club, I sincerely wish to express my appreciation to my director officers, and the membership for their loyal support this past year. We have had excellent attendance at both our business and dinner meetings; the programs were arranged by club committees and have been in keeping with State and i\!ationa I pro [ects , The Logan Club was sponsor of a newly organized club which 'will be known as the Cache Va lIey Business and Professiona I Women IS Club. Their meeting daM is the second ;\r\onday of each month. Bylaws have been proposed and submitted to the State and btional officers for approval. These wi II be adopted by the new club and carried out by an active membership. Our Personal Development Committee's January rneetings were worthwhile and defightfu I. Professor Ethe Iwyn Wi Icox of Utah State University's Food and Nutrition Department, gave a lecture on the importence of diet and hec Ith at our business meeting. This was well accepted. The highlight of the ..ItJnuary dinner meeting was a book review by iv\rs. Ro.a ld Do Iy, "FasciMting Womanhood". This proved to be an entertaining evening •. The Civic Participation Committee armnged the February meetings. At our dinner meeting Leonard Keorl, a locl. businessman and director of the local Red Cross Chapter gave an en lightening to Ik on "The Story of the American Red Cross". More cppreciation wi II be shown the Red Cress after this very educational talk. The February bu,siness meeting was very wotthwh i le A to Ik was glven by' Ranger Merrill Roberts on the "Muhiple uses of the Cache National Forest". To' summarize the report I many beautiful slides were shown. , Another yearly event our club sponsored was "fun Night", arranged by Q special club committee. This was held at the Boy Scout Center. A buffet luncheon was served, musica I numbers and readings were en joyed. The remainder of the evening was spent playing bi ngo and exchanging white elephant gifts. . The N'Cltch dinner meeting was of speelcl interest. The World Affairs Committee chose to use ideas from other countries to carry out the evening's entertainment. A delicious Italian dinner was served to a large group and guests. Chi lean songs were enjoyed by the group during .the dinner. President Daryl Chase of the Utah State University .. ddressed the group on thesubject of international education and Utah State's invo Iveme nt in Latin America. Th is was an unusua lIy entertaining affair. . . The World Affairs Committee's business meeting 'was held at the logan City Office. Dr. and Mrs. DeVere McAllister showed slides and spoke about their two-year assign"" ment in La Paz, So fivia They were members of the U S .A .1 .D. team from Utah State there.
