Show CRITERIA CLUBS FOR PROGRESS A new feature was added to the BPW Program in 1965 -66. clubs may use to measure the success of their It is a set of criteria which work. Presented by the National Program Committee, the criteria will serve as a useful yardstick for a club to determine at year's end (1) if it has met the goals it set for itself at the beginning of the year, and (2) if, in working toward these goals, it has standards which are stated in the National criteria and which come from our BPW objectives: met the four CRITERIA o o o o PERFECT THE CLUB AS AN ORGANIZATION DEVELOP THE POTENTIAL OF MEMBERS EXTEND FELLOWSHIP PROVIDE NEEDED COMMUNITY SERVICES Many clubs will discover that they are already working toward these worthwhile goals because they reflect our formal Federation objectives: Elevating Standards for busi ness and professional women, promoting their Interests, developing Cooperation among them and extending their _2pportunHies through education S -1 -C -0. - - VOLUNTARY PROGRAM National has devised the Criteria Clubs Program for the use of those state federation presidents who, as members of the National Board, wish to offer this Criteria as an opportunity for clubs in their respective states. The state federation willProgram set a date prior to its annual convention by which time clubs will return to it a Criteria Clubs Form (issued by the state federation) reporting the goals they set for the year and how they reached them. CRITERIA CREDENTIAL Those clubs which succeed in meeting the four criteria will be certified by the state federations to the National Federation. National will issue a criteria credential to each club which has qualified and will mail them to the state president for presentation at the State Convention. A CHALLENGE, NOT A CONTEST The Criteria Clubs Program is in no sense a competition; it simply offers an opportunity highest standards of business and professional women by selecting meaningful goals and carrying them through within the program year. The club which can qualify in the Criteria Clubs Program can take de served satisfaction in the knowledge that its work meets high standards and fulfills the long-time objectives of BPW. And the state which has a high percentage of Criteria Clubs in its federation can be justifiably proud of the character and quality of their work. to clubs J large and small, old and new, to meet the HERE'S HOW Clubs in states whose presidents wish to offer the Criteria Program will follow simple voluntary character of the program. Clubs will hold their Program Planning meetings early in the year (see BPW ACTION MANUA L, pages 52 and select -60) program goals from the year ahead.
