Show 26 In May we are looking forward to an en joyable evening of "Ideas for a Fun Vacation. The following are additional club activities and projects: November, 30 pounds of candy was bagged and taken to the children at the American Fork Training School. In During BPW Week we sponsored a safe driving contest. The winning Police Smith, was presented with an orchid. woman, chosen by Chief of Contribution was made to State Rheumatic Fever Fund. Four students from our area Conference. participated in the District Youthpower me I feel lowe many thanks to a wonderful group of women who have supported and their have I friendship and enjoyed assignments. so willingly in all our projects association. The one appointed was the and a new president to take the position. We called a special meeting to appoint committees. Our first meeting, was a banquet. Our October meeting was given by the Program Chairman, giving us an outline for the programs for the year. The Novembermeeting was a report on our Changing World by the chairman of world World Affairs. Th is was very informative and interesting on current problems in the Beaver. at today. We also attended the Fall District Conference A festive Christmas party. Each member gave a dollar for the December Rheumatic Fever Fund. In return, each received a Christmas corsage. - January February Chairman on legislation gave an interesting ta Ik on the Status of Women. - - Mr. Francum, Supervisor, Beaver County Schools, spoke to us on Public and Human Relations; its growing importance in groups and nations. Mr. J. C. Smith spoke to us on The World of Business and Finance. Our March District Officers also visited us at this meeting, giving us the information on tre Youth power Conference. - Personal Development Chairman spoke to us. She had a speaker on music, Each told of the great rewords they bring into our lives. Fine handiwork. and painting, displays of paintings, handiwork, and music were shown. April - Our club sponsored two girls, two boys, and two leaders to go Youthpower Conference. This was held at the C.S.U. to Cedar City to the II |
