Propose and support legislation to provide equality of rights under the law, to men and ,women (a) by seeking removal of so called "protective" legislation which t obstructs (b) equality for women in, the field of employment. st:rengthen existing legislation in the field or employment which provides uniform laws ard regulations for men am women as to working conditions. rates of pay. and equal employment opportunity To (I 2. Propose and support legislation to amend the Constitution of the State or provide a more equitable method of selecting members of a jury, consideration to the use of registered voter rolls, rather than giving Utah to tax rolls. ,. To support legislation to repeal Sections 75-)-17 and 75-S Utah Code Annotated 1953 which limit the right of a married woman to serve as an executrix or administratrix. Both s8cions should be repealed. POLICY ITEb: 1. Support a resolution for a Constitutional Amendment to provide that the Utah Legislature convene each year. 2. Support legi8la tion to increase salary of Utah legislators to a degree commensurate with the time and service required of them, thus to encourage persons with the highest qualifications to seek such otf'1cee I I I , I |
