Show 22 presented. Although we continued to contact the Delta ladies, we were unable to get the club 'organized for this year. Everyone feels that contact should be continued and that we are not assuming too much to expect De Ita to become organized next year. Visits were made by the district officers to all of the clubs. The Cedar City ladies entertained us with a lovely dinner, and we heard a very stimulating program on Personal Development. On N\arch 1 we traveled to Springdale Where we participated in a panel discussion with club members. The subiects discussed were: I\Iational Federation Funds; ObjectIves of the Federation; History of the Or ganization; the BPW Foundation; and the 1966-67 Program. On iV1arch. 15 we were welcomed by the Panguitch Club where we were served another wonderful dinner, with homemade candy as a special treat'. Their program On April 3, the Beaver ladies was also an outstanding one on Personal Development. we saw a very infonnative at on Law Enforcement where us their public meeting greeted film and heard a lecture by the Orem Chief of Police. A business meeting was held after the program and delicious refreshments were served. Spring Conference was held at Cedar City on iv\orch 25. Four state officers were in attendance: Anne Kidd, Jean Fox, DeLone Petersen, and Karla Hulet. Election of district officers was held before the general meeting. Three officers were elected from the Zion Club: ' Kathryn Brewer Lilliam Workman Elsa Ruesch District Director Vice Director Secretary-treasurer The new officers were insto lied by state president Anne Kldd Reports were given by each club and talks were three president, given by lovely girls competing for Young Career Woman to the District The were: •. girls M:nsho'Smith, Mi I ford; JVk3ry Jane Palmer, Cedar represent and Nila Mae Ipson, Panguitch. Voting was done by secret ballot, and Miss Nila City; Mae Ipson wi II repre-sent the Southern District at the State Convention at Park City. , A very successful Youthpower Conference was held at the College of Southern II The Utah on April 8. The theme of the conference was "The Business of Ufe is People. conference was under the direction of Dr. McRay Cloward, Director of Continuing Education at C.S.U. The conference was conducted by Mrs. Nelda ivtemmott, district director. Dr. It McRay Cloward to lked on the "Dynamics of Sma IJ Groups and Professor Mont Crosland of the College of Business at C.S.U. spoke on the "Humon Side of Business ". Group sessions were conducted by psycho logy students of C.S .U. • The highlight of the Conference was our special luncheon speaker, Mrs. Calvin Ramption-First lady of our State--wife of Governor Calvin Rampton. She spoke on IIEffective Communications in Humon Relations." Other special guests were: Anne Kidd, state BPW president; Eve fyn Elmer, state corresponding secretory; Karla Hulet I state recording secretary; Edith Shaw I past state president of BPW; and U Ilion Lunt, past state pres'idnt of BPW. A folder of take-home materials was prepared for a II participants, and everyone that more than 100 people present were well rewarded for their attendance. A agreed deal-of credit is to be given to Mrs. Ado Corpenter, whose planning and coordinating great so much to make the program a success.
