Show MILFORD CLUB During the year 1966-67, the Milford Business & Professional Women's Club has offered its members and the community a variety of programs and activities. Some meetings- .have' been planned for community-wide participation. Examples of these were the linic .and discussion on "fReduc:ing Shop-lifting and Bad Checks," conducted by representatives of Utah State University, and the evening, last October, when Mr. Sam Cline, a local attorney, d'Lscuss ed the proposed amendments to the Constitution of the State of Utah. Other meetings were planned for members and their personallY-invited guests. As speakers at meetings of this e, we have had members conduct some discussions such If as "News That Seeps Through the "Bamboo Curtain, by Nelda Memmott. We have also used. non-member local talent such as Mrs. Margery Shervrood, a. native of England, Who disdUssed English Literature. We have gone farther afield in seeking specialists to lead other discussions: Miss Georgia Beth Smith, Dean of Women at the College of Southern Utah, who told of ber recent studies at Americn University under the topic ttpUblic Relations Procedures in It Washington, D.C., and Dr. Vern K. Kupfer, Professor of Psychology at C.S. U., who spoke on tiThe Golden Calf of Perfectionism. II We conducted a "La.zy Eye" Clinic, testing the eyes of pre-school children a project 'Which we have sponsored annually for a the ·cormnunity. This is number of years. We sponsored Miss Marsha Ann Smith as our career girl candidate. Planned for this coming month is our annual tea for senior girls of the Milford High School and their mothers. Program at this tea will include discussions of vocations qy career women. Final meeting for the year will be installation of officers for next year. Ina S.
