The club feels Ne llie Beyeler MOAB The year 1965-66 has been a progressive year for our club. We have gained both as a club and as individuals. We have deposited some of our earnings in a savings account to draw interest. We sold cookbooks as a project to earn additional funds. We have, through White Elephant sa les, etc., started saving funds to be able to attend the 1969 Nationa I Convention. We are proud to state that we have a Iways been we" represented at District and State meetings, and that our club has supported the National Convention Fund 100 percent. The following are some of the highlights of our past year: MAY Election and installation of new officers. - Potluck dinner at member's home. We had sent delegate Mary Wilson JUNE to the National Convention in Washington, D. C. We entered a float in the historical division of the Canyonlands Parade and were given a beautiful plaque for first place. - We held a meeting in Monticello to interest those women in starting a JULY BPW organization there. An autographed recipe book was presented to the Governor's wife, Mrs. Ca Ivin Rampton, at an open house gathering. - A Hawaiian luau was held on the patio of a member with films of the AUGUST islands shown by Mr. Aikens, Moab Police Dept. - In ce lebration of BPW Week, members wi II attend the City Counci I SEPTEMBER of Commerce luncheon, and other club meetings in Moab, which the Chamber meetings, will be held during that week. - Besides appearing at various functions to commemorate BPW Week, OCTOBER members a Iso attended a meeting as guests of the AAUW to hear a II the loco I candidates speak and answer questions. Our club meeting honored the charter members of the Moab club, which was chartered in 1958. A program was also presented on the meaning of the BPW emblem. - A program of information and discussion was presented on the NOVEMBER enacted legislation and its meaning to our members. recently - The home economist from Utah Power and Light Company entertained DECEMBER members and guests with the preparation and serving of a del icious dinner.
