Show 'Youthpower USA' Meet Dated by BPW Units Four students from 23 high schools in the Salt Lake area have been invited to partici pate in a "Youthpower USA Conference" scheduled Satur day at the University of Utah Student Union, beginning at 9 a.m. Sponsoring the event will be districts, Central and two North Central of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. Participating Salt Lake clubs will be City, Ensign, ,League, Wasatch, Bountiful, Coalville, Sugar House, Mid vale, Murray and Tooele, To Discuss Three topics, Topics free enter- 11 h prise, leadership and morals and ethics, will be introduced by a guest speaker. Afterward. panel discussions, with stu dents participating, will dis the topic. Keynoting the event on free enterprise Will be Beverly D. cuss Kumpfer, general manager, guidance and controls division of Litton Industries. Maragakis, factory John manager of Ajax Presses, will moder ate the panel on that topic. Talk on Ladership Dr. Alton P. Hadlock, direc tor, continuing education at the University of Utah, wJ.I talk on leadership. Keith Wil son, assistant provost, U. of U., will moderate the panel. Morals and ethics will be topic of luncheon speaker, the Rev. Gene D. Yelken, Christ Methodist Church. Moderating that topic in discussion will be Mrs. Jamie Belts. Miss Diane Hatch, coordina tor of student activities at the U. of V., will give an over view of the conference. Also talking will be S. C. Johnson, group manager of Sears Roebuck and Co. Mrs. Thelma Crandall, North Central District direc tor, is chairman. Mrs. Marie Grundvig is director of the Central District. |
