Show 16 In reviewing the impact of the Rheumatic Fever Program on the lives of so many in Utah, each of us who has helped to support this project through the Utah people Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs has added a bit of glory to our . persona f lives. As of February 28, 1967, there were 1,148 people enrolled on the Rheumatic Fever registry for the low-cost penicillin prophylaxis program. In January I thirty new cases were reported; in February, twenty-five. The register changes each month in that some move away and others no longer need to be on the program. The Federation helped with this program in the very beginning by helping with the purchase of decals needed for the participating phannacies, and the decals for the penici lIin bottles. Deco Is once again had to be bought this winter. Applications have been written for two Rheu,matic Fever Research Grants for Gary M. Watts and Bruce E. Mc Iff to be reviewed by the Research Committee of Utah Heart Association. These two projects wi II be completely funded by money received from the Utah Federation of BPWand will be formally acknowledged. Possibly before State Convention time arrives, notice of these Research Projects will have been released to your local newspap.ers.
