Show 6 DeLone 8. Petersen SECOND VICE PRESIDENT Serving as Second Vice President of the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs this year has been Q. rewarding ex-perience for me. As a member of the executive boord, I have tried to work cooperatively with the other state officers, and I appreciate the guidance and friendliness of Anne" Jean, Josephine, and Karla. As state 'officers, we hove . been weJl received by the memership in our travels far and .neor throughout the State. , . I have been especia lIy pleased with the work done by the District Directors cincf councils in the various districts. Truly outstanding women have directed the aC,tivities. The Youthpower Conferences have bee" informative and impressive. I am sure that the ung people have benefitted by the ir experiences. Many of them have stated that they have never 'eamed so much in one. day. I would suggest that, if the Youthpower Program is to continue, more publicity be given on a club as well as a district level and that the gen'eroJ membersMp of BP'N attend. I am sure that you, the member, would be impressed with th is most outstanding , progta.;n. ··1twas a thrilling experience for me to be present when the Young Career Woman was selected at Cedar City for the Southem District. I am sure that 'again this year this program . will be outstanding and we will be proud of the fine young woman selected in the finals to represent the State df Utah at the Nationa I Convention in New .York ',' The districts hove worked hard on membership this year, and although no new clubs have been chartered, considerable groundwork has been 10 id I and the future looks good for new clubs' in several areas, Why not ,try a summer campaign ? Remember, it ,only takes ten members to charter a new club. However, if you have 25 names on the charter by December 31, the sponsoring club receives $50,00 . I have been invited to attend many functions and club and ;district meetings. I. recently represented the Utah Federation of Business and Professional Women's' Clubs, Inc., at Founders Day at Utah State University and on April 7th attended Forni Iy Ufe Forum at, Utah State.
