It has been a rewarding experience to be able to attend the conferences held in Price, Vernal, and Salt Lake City; and plans are made to attend the conference in Cedar City in April. It was a thri II to be asked to arrange for a meeting of Sa It Lake community women with Mrs. Dorothy Flechtner (past president of the Oh io Federation) and Miss Mercedes Bates (Director, Betty Crocker Kitchens). These ladies were in Salt Lake on the evening of March 1 for the Chamber of Commerce Aircade for Citizenship Action meeting on March 2. Notices were sent to all BPW clubs in the area as well as many other women's organizations. Unfortunately for us, a severe storm on the evening of the meeting prevented most of the potentia I attendants from being there. However, the 23 who did brave the storm fe It well rewarded for the effort and regretted that circumstances pre vented more women from be ing ab Ie to meet and hear these outstanding women. It has been a pleasant duty to attend all executive committee, State Board, and Fall District meetings. Plans are made for attending all the Spring District Con ferences, also. An additional honor was being asked to install the 1965-66 officers for the Murray and Salt Lake League Clubs. Several other clubs have invited State officers to attend meetings, and it has been my privilege to be included on a number of these occasions. These opportunities are highly valued in getting to know individual members better 'as well as being able to see what is being accomplished hy the various clubs. • Everyone who has had anyth ing to do with programming (and everyone has either directly or indirectly) during the year is to be highly commended. The new National Program, contained in the March National Business Woman, should inspire - each and everyone to strive for more effective programs in the coming year. Remember "Program involves everything the club does, and everything the club does involves program." - SECOND VICE PRESIDENT Jean Fox and deve lopment, My year of service to you has been one of great understanding and I deeply appreciate the opportunities this hcs afforded. First, very special thanks is extended to the District Directors. They have most capably fulfilled the responsibilities of this office. The planning for the Fall District Conferences was well done.
