Show In behalf of the Utah Federation O!f Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., the Brlgham City Club is honored to welcome Hope Roberts, Second Vice"lPresidient of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., to Utah. Hope ,Roberts is owner-manager of Roberts House, a guest house in Reno, Nevada, where she is active in civic, eommunlty and Federation activities. On a As a National Ievel, Mrs. Roberts has also been Chairman o·f the National Civic Participation Committee. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Business and Prefessional Women's Foundation. member O'f the Reno :B'PW 'Club, served as program coordinator, membership chairman, international relations 'chairman, recording secretary, second and first and vice-president president. She was also Western District Director fer the \955-56 term. Equally active on a state level, Mrs. Roberts organized and served as chairman of the Small Business 'CUnic; has been lntematlenal relations chairman, program cnordinater, parliamentarian, and 'state President, 1961-62. As State Legisla tive Chairman, she was instrumental in getting community property laws enacted by the State legislature. For the latter and for service to handicapped children, she was awarded the 1963 Gracious Living Award for Washoe County. A past president of the Renown Toastmistress Club, and the Women's of the Nevada State Pharmaceutieal Auxiliary Association, .Mrs. Roberts has also served as secretary-treasurer of the First Nevada Unit, National Association of Parliamentarlans, and 'as a member of the committee which promoted the establishment o,f the Nevada she has Governor's Commission on the Status of WoOmen. She now serves as 'Chairman of the Commissien, She is secretary to the Board of Dlrectors of 'the Nevada Safety Council, named to the recently Nevada State Vocational-Technical Education Advisory Council, and holds memberships in numerous other civic and professional organizations. She is listed in "Who's WhD of American Women" and in the 1962-63-64 editions of "Who's Who in the West." |
