Show 37 PRICE deene Do The Price Business and Professiona I Women's Club got underway in September with a get-acquainted meeting. State officers were invited, and our state president was guest speaker. She gave us many suggestions which have been a great help to us all through the year. At our October meeting, Bessie Anderson, a past legis.lative chairman and presently auditor for the State Tax Commission, gave a very interesting talk on the proposed changes in our State Constitution. For our November meeting, Hal J. Schultz, a former member of our school board, was guest speaker. He chose as his subject the ways 'and means to help our area to develop and grow, which many of us felt was a great help In our Civic Participation program. were In December the He lper Club invited us to [oln them in their Christmas party. Gifts exchanged, a bountious dinner enjoyed, songs were sung, end a good time was had byall. To start the New Year off right, four new members were initiated into the c lub beautiful and touching program was arranged by our chairman membership February was highlighted by a very interesting talk by our former·Mayor, Welsh. A Ithough we have not had any specific goal this year, we helped with the Youthpower Conference in Moab. We have also helped on all drives put on for statel national, and local funds for heart, etc. We also made and donated two complete baby layettes to the Red Cross for use in Vietnam. PROVO Eve fyn Thompson At the end of the year, I real ize that being president of a BPW club is an opportunity every member shou ld have a chance to experience. It gives one an insight into the rea I workings of BPW. As an individual, it gives one knowledge which helps one gain self confidence and obi lity to better serve her fe lIow club members and her community as well.
