First edition, published in 1597, containing 1392 numbered pages and 91 unnumbered pages. This early work on the botany of Wales was largely an unacknowledged English translation of Rembert Dodoens's herbal, published in 1554. It was later enlarged, revised and corrected by Thomas Johnson for an edition issued in 1633, and reprinted as a third edition in 1636. |
