Show 295 hear the sound of waves meeting the shoreline, birds in flight, and a pleasant, stringed melody that crescendos at the end of the clip. bp is an environmentally caring visual subject. Like Rio Tinto, bp is a friendly, neighborhood citizen-subject that is committed to the affected community. In a third advertisement video, released in August 2012, bp makes the visual argument that it is not only committed to the Gulf, but it also has a particular commitment to America. This is part of bp's "Voices of bp" ad campaign, which debuted on December 26, 2011 (bp Daily Securities Dashboard, 2015). This particular advertisement is more serious in style than the others and shows numerous images demonstrating bp's economic impact to advancements in science and technology (and research and development) with a repeated up-and-down progressive scale by single strings on an instrument. There are two parts to this particular video. The first demonstrates bp's commitment to the Gulf by showing images of people enjoying the beaches by windsurfing, fishing, boating, swimming, scuba diving, dining, and soaking in the sun. Behind the scenes, viewers get a glimpse of how bp's advanced technology has helped clean up the Gulf with scientific findings. There are people in suits interacting with computer designs of affected bedding and contemplating the geological configurations of the affected area. There are quick shots of employees looking at numerous computer screens displaying machines for drilling, drawing figures on white boards, and pointing to physical, economic, and topographic maps of the Gulf of Mexico. The video then transitions to a visual claim that bp is also committed to America. During this second half of the video, there are pictures of American bp employees at work.
