Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

Bert Loper to take them to Lees Ferry ( in iii ) a rowboat , but Loper ( wasn't wasnt ) there and he took them through to Lees Ferry . He was next ( in ill ) the Glen Canyon in 1921 and he ( doesn't doesnt ) know whether the boats were from ( Green- Green ) river or Richfield , but they ( were -were were ) ( taken tak-en taken ) overland from one point or the other . He was just working for wages ; he had no ( con- con ) tract and ( he lie ) eventually took change of freighting from Greenriver .
