Description |
Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

He believes it was this ( summer sumnier ) that he saw a , rowboat tied there above the bridge . ( R . 3337 . ) Recalled ( R . , Vol . 18 , pp . 3360-3363 ) : In 1896 on San ( Juan Juail ) River at Gable ( camp canip ) , ( Zahn's Zahns ) camp the nearest place to it . Notes depth of water by testing with oars ; lots of places where water was not over a foot deep in channel ; probably less in places .
