Show town . He ( couldn't couldnt ) fix 1108 the dates of these floods . . ( ( E R ) . 4424-4425 . ) The thundershowers that occur through this section of the country do not affect the river ( vQ-ry' vQry ) much , but the September rains that drain the ( en- en ) tire country do raise the river . At Bluff you ( don't dont ) see much of a rise from thundershowers . ( ( E R ) . 4425 . ) The rains in September cause the river to rise ; the rain is general over the higher country at that time . ( R . 4425 . ) These rises do not compare with the two big floods . ( R . 4425 . ) The ( grazing grazimy ) ( on oil ) the ( winter whiter ) ranges is all over the country , on the upland as well as the washes . The ( pie-shaped pieshaped ) area from La Sal Mountains down to the junction of the San Juan and the Colorado Rivers is susceptible of irrigation and would be productive if they had water to ( irri- irri ) gate it ; it is not , however , susceptible to dry ( farming arming ) . If there were water practically all of it could be irrigated . Sometimes the rougher countries are the best places for winter ( feeding eeding ) , and the stock sometimes winter better in the rough , high ( coun- coun ) tries , than they do in the valleys . The people around Monticello will feed some , but in the ( pie-shaped pieshaped ) country west of the La Sal ( Moun- Moun Aaloun- Aaloun ) |
