Show and if you go through that 1221 you will not ( hit bit ) . This place is about thirty feet wide . ( R . 4818-4819 . ) The ridge extends practically across the river ( exx- exx ) cepting the ( cut-out cutout ) place . He knows that it goes clear across the river because ( he lie ) could see that water go over it but ( couldn't couldnt ) see the ledge . ( R . 4819 . ) The propellers were hinged and in a case like ( that thfat ) they were tipped up and they would float across . They ( weren't werent ) lifted up going upstream and it ( didn't didnt ) hit . He passed there several times and he ( didn't didnt ) always lift the motor up . If he thought there was danger of hitting he would do so and if it did hit it would tip itself up anyway . When he left it down he never did hit . He took a trip on the Cliff ( Dweller Dweller- Dweller ) at one time from his ranch up to ( Halverson's Halversons ) ranch , about ( four four- four ) ¬ teen miles . ( R . 4820 . ) Had trouble getting up ; they had a capstan ; they put it around a tree ; when the tree would hold it we could pull it up . ( R . 4821 . ) He quit the boat at ( Halverson's Halversons ) as he wanted to get back to the ranch . He never took another trip ( on oil ) the Cliff ( Dweller Diveller ) , or was never ( em- em ) ployed as a boatman and never had any financial interest in it . He ( doesn't doesnt ) believe there is a great deal of differ ¬ ence as far as best water is concerned either below or above Bridge Canyon between Halls Crossing and Lees Ferry . ( R . 4821-4822 . ) In his ( judg judg- judg ) ¬ ment it is practically the same . |
