Show He touched the San 886 Juan River himself in the canyon above Mexican Hat , ( where ivhere ) the road follows the river for some miles , right at the ( water's waters ) edge . He saw it at Mexican Hat , and for several miles above ; ( saw-it sawit ) again at the ( mouth moath ) of Johns Canyon . He was on both sides of the river , and saw it again at the mouth of Copper Canyon , and at the ( mouth niouth ) of Trachyte Creek . He was only on both sides of the San Juan River at Mexican Hat , and during the time he was on the San Juan River he ( didn't didnt ) see any boats . He recalls seeing no other people in the canyon , other than those of his party . He has done a good deal of work on the upper reaches of the San Juan River around Fruitland , and he ( didn't didnt ) see any boats on the river up there . He was in that part ( of' of ) the San Juan from June to September , inclusive , of 1915 and 1916 ; June to August of 1917 ; in June and July of 1920 , and the same months in 1921 . He has been back for short periods nearly every ( summer summer- summer ) since then ; has been back in the region for one , two , , or three weeks several times . When he was on the Colorado River , ( between betiveen ) Moab and the mouth of the Green , he spoke ( of' of ) grounding a number of times , between Moab and ( a & ) - point thirty and ( one-half onehalf ) miles up from the mouth of the Green River , and he also spoke of some special difficulty he had in the vicinity of the Kane Creek |
