( R . 4567-4568 . ) He went back to Bluff that winter , overland , and he believes in the spring of 1897 he went to the ( Colo- Colo ) rado River , but was on the San Juan in July and August of that ( -year year ) . After he left the Honaker Trail about January 1 , 1897 , he did not work any other ( section s6etion ) of the river , except at ( Zahii's Zahiis Zahn's Zahns ) Camp . He was back at ( Zahii's Zahiis Zahn's Zahns ) Camp in 1898 . I He had a raft in the Soda Basin country once . That was the first winter he was at the Honaker Trail . ( R . 4570 . ) He went from Bluff to the Soda Basin with burros , some seventeen or ( eight eight- eight ) ¬ een miles , and he built a little raft to cross the river . He has crossed the river at Bluff many thIIes7 in boats maintained there by the trader ; but this is not ( much inuch ) of an operation to cross in these boats . This is all of his experience .
