Show ( there -there there ) when ( he lie ) went downstream 1396 , but this has not happened in his experience . The cost of the boat , ( NavajOj Navajo ) including the engine was five hundred dollars , and it remained in operation four years . He remembers taking it twice to Moab , once with , the City Engineer of Salt ( Lake La-ke Lake ) and the other time with ( sight-seers sightseers ) . He believes he has been possibly twenty times in the ( Navajo IVavajo ) to the junction . ( R . 5410 . ) He carried supplies down , during his scouting trips in the Cataract Canyon and a number of ( sight sight- sight ) seeing parties and hunters . On the scouting trips , he was usually not financially interested but ( some some- some ) times he was . He left the Navajo high on the river bank at his little ranch ( twenty-five twentyfive ) miles below Greenriver , in 1908 when he left that part of the ( country c6untry ) . He was last there in 1916 and the Navajo was still there . He ( didn't didnt ) take the engine ( out-it outit ) was just left as he stopped using it . ( R . 5411 . ) He helped organize the ( Utah-Nevada UtahNevada ) Copper ( Com Com- Com ) pany , the principal stockholder being a man by the name of Kendrick . The company was in existence about three years and then he abandoned the mine and abandoned the charter of the company . ( R . 5412 . ) The principal asset of this company was the copper mine about twenty miles below his ranch , and seven or eight miles west of the river , and on the opposite side of the river from his ranch .
