Description |
Testimony given before special master Charles Warren in a suit brought by the United States against the state of Utah over ownership of the bed of the Colorado River. Much of the testimony was given by river runners, scientists and engineers, petroleum geologists, and placer miners. The testimony constitutes an extensive oral history of the men and women who utilized the Colorado River Basin in Utah prior to 1929. |

In other words , the amount of tonnage that has to be put in over a given period . ( R . 2907 . ) In the ( de- de ) velopment of an oil field it is absolutely necessary ( -at at ) ( times tinles ) to get the freight in there promptly . In the supplies which were shipped down by boat from Moab , difficulties encountered were in the length of time , and in the amount of freight that can be hauled on a boat that can travel on the ( Colo- Colo ) rado river between those two points . The fact that the freight had to be unloaded at Thompson and ( un- un ) loaded again at the Moab dock and ( re-loaded reloaded ) on the boat , figure in the problem . ( R . 2907 . ) A system of transportation which requires two loadings and two ( unloadings unloadiugs ) has a bearing on the case in the ( trans trans- trans ) ¬ portation or unloading of your field equipment ; ( your yoar ) unloading has some bearing on breakage of equipment . He has been on Colorado River many times .
