Show Between the Utah line 1026 and the mouth of the Green River the map shows no lands which could . be ( irri- irri ) gated from the Colorado River . There are , however , the two small areas that can be irrigated from ( tribu- tribu ) taries , that is , considering gravity service without pumping . ( R . ( 4044 4041 ) ) Compl . Exh . 506 is a map showing the position of Green River from its source to its mouth . It contains substantially the same type of information that was included on the map previously discussed , showing ( irrigated -irrigated irrigated ) land proposed for irrigation , developed and , undeveloped power sites , and reservoir sites , all pre _ ' pared by Mr . W . R . Woolley , for publication by the Geological Survey , Mr . Woolley being one of our hydraulic engineers stationed at ( Salt Salt- Salt ) Lake City , Utah . . ( R . ( 4044r-4045 4044r4045 4044-4045 ) . ) The material for the maps , both of which were completed in 1929 , was gathered over a . period of twenty years or more . The Flaming Gorge is in the State of Utah . The Flaming Gorge dam site , the primary purpose of which is for power , river ( control tcontrol ) being a large factor , is located in ( Horse-Shoe HorseShoe ) Canyon . The figures 2 and 3 in circles just below the Wyoming line indicate undeveloped power sites just below Flaming Gorge , used to equate the flow of the stream at the Flaming Gorge site . ( A . 4045- ( 4046 -4046 ) . ) The circled figures 4 and 5 indicate power sites in Colorado at Split Mountain , and the areas on . ( the -the the ) map shaded yellow and green have nothing to do with the power site or the water from an irrigation ( -standpoint standpoint standpoint ) , but are independent of those sites . The area shown in green is irrigated by water diverted |
